8-0 victory over Wigan vs Chelsea, in the Day Sunday, May 9, 2010. The result was to be a point to be 86, one point ahead of Manchester United who at the same time a 4-0 win over Stoke City.

There is no other word other than mentioning that the right to occupy the throne of Chelsea Premier League champions three consecutive seasons before this was always filled with ‘Red Devils’ which must now be content to be runner-up.

Ever since the Premier League format initiated in 1992,  has lived there eight seasons. Chelsea became champions in the fight for sure the best after last season from 2009 to 2010.

This success is a third time for Chelsea in the Premier League, and the fourth time in total. Previous champions Chelsea in the 1954-55 season (Division One), 2004-05 and 2005-06 (Premier League).

In addition to be champion this season, Chelsea are also seeing record number of goals in one season. Total of 103 goals with the team’s coach Carlo Ancelotti has now become the most for a Premier League team.

For MU, this result makes the title they froze in the number of 18 – seven in Division One and 11 in the Premier League. As a result, Sir Alex Ferguson’s team also failed to surpass Liverpool’s record – both teams were still sitting together as the most English League winners.
